Elegant Ultimate: A Modernistic Mansion by Ming-Hsin Chung

A Contemporary Residence with Unique Design Features

The second floor of Elegant Ultimate showcases contemporary aesthetics, combining geometric space configuration and circulation with warm wooden materials. This fusion creates a fashion-forward and avant-garde atmosphere. The public space between the living room and dining room features a grille screen, which serves as a medium to separate the areas while maintaining a sense of openness. The design also incorporates wood brick flooring, allowing for independent functionality between the living room, dining room, and worship hall.

To create a cordial and free atmosphere, the designer utilizes lower couches and tables. The grey couches, stainless steel irons, and TV cabin trimmed with veneer present beauty in different levels through the use of progressive colors. The wall behind the couch is adorned with metallic murals, becoming a focal point of vision and interpreting the blend of introversion and fashion. Additionally, a glass sliding door separates the resting room and kitchen, extending visual penetration throughout the space.

Elegant Ultimate spans a total of 256 square meters and was completed in February 2016 in Changhua County, Taiwan. The design team, led by Ming-Hsin Chung, overcame various creative, technical, and research challenges to bring this unique and innovative residence to life.

This exceptional design was recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2017 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Elegant Ultimate design is respected for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings while contributing to a better world.
